A resident of Rajiv Colony in Sector 38 (West) was arrested on Friday for allegedly murdering his brother. The deceased is Manoj Kumar, a daily wager.

According to the police, accused Om Parkash and his brother were consuming liquor last night. “They had some property in the name of their mother. Om Parkash and Manoj started discussing about the property last night. Following a heated argument, Om Parkash attacked Manoj with an iron rod,” said a police officer, adding that Manoj was taken to hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival. Station House Officer of the Sector-39 police station Inspector Janak Rana said the accused was arrested after a case of murder was registered against him
