Man suffers cardiac arrest while driving,dies; 1 hurt

A man crashed his car into a pavement in Bandra after suffering a cardiac arrest on Monday.

A man crashed his car into a pavement in Bandra after suffering a cardiac arrest on Monday. While the driver died on the spot,one pedestrian was injured.

A case of accidental death has been registered. Police said the incident occurred when Kashyap Wadhwa (56),was on his way to work around 10.30 am near Tawa Hotel,24th Road in Bandra (West). Just as Wadhwa was about to take a right turn,he reportedly suffered a cardiac arrest,lost control of his car and rammed into a footpath,injuring Sushant Mishra,a watchman who was standing at a tea stall,an officer said.

Residents of the area found Wadhwa unconscious and took him and Mishra to Bhabha Hospital. While Mishra was admitted with a fractured leg,Wadhwa was declared dead on arrival. “Wadhwa’s body was sent to Cooper Hospital for post mortem,” police said.
