Maneka complaint against Lalu

BJP MP Maneka Gandhi on Wednesday lodged a complaint with the Uttar Pradesh police against Lalu Prasad Yadav for saying that he would have crushed her son Varun Gandhi for making communal speeches.

Her application to the SSP,Badaun,requesting the registration of an FIR against the RJD chief,has been sent to Bihar police for further action. The Chief Electoral Officer of Uttar Pradesh is also sending a report about Manekas complaint to the Election Commission.

Meanwhile,the Uttar Pradesh Government on Wednesday confirmed the Pilibhit district administrations decision to invoke the National Security Act against Varun Gandhi in the interest of maintenance of law and order.
