Manoj Kumar,Gowariker to get Maha film awards

Filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker has been selected for the Raj Kapoor Special Contribution Award,the sources said.

Veteran actor Manoj Kumar will be conferred with the Raj Kapoor Lifetime Achievement Award constituted by the Maharashtra Government,official sources said.

The Raj Kapoor Award honours achievers from the Hindi film industry.

The V Shantaram award will been conferred on noted actress Asha Kale for her lifetime contribution to Marathi cinema while actor-filmmaker Sachin Pilgaonkar will be presented with the V Shantaram Special Contribution Award.

The award winners will be presented with memento,citation and cash prize of Rs 2 lakh each.

The awards will be given away by Chief Minister Ashok Chavan at a function at the Gateway of India here on April 27.
