"The Wagon R is not just a bestseller for us but is also among top five models of the industry. The changes introduced on the New Wagon R are in line with the customer feedback received through our regular customer engagement programmes,"
Maruti Suzuki India Vice President (Marketing) Manohar Bhat said in a statement.
The new Wagon R that comes with new exteriors and interiors will be available at Rs 3.58 lakh for the base variant, Rs 3.88 lakh for the mid-level and Rs 4.13 lakh for
the top-end variant.
The CNG version is priced at Rs 4.42 lakh, the company said.
During the April-November period of the ongoing fiscal, Wagon R sales averaged 11,000 units a month with a total of over 88,000 units sold. In the comparable period of the last fiscal, the model averaged 11,500 units with a cumulative sales of 92,000 units.
"We are confident that customers will appreciate the refreshments in the new Wagon R and we it would help to strengthen brand Wagon R," Bhat added.
MSI said it has been able to deliver higher fuel economy with the new Wagon R through several factors that bring down friction, enhance engine breathing and improve combustion.
