Maruti Suzuki ,India’s top car maker,expects total output in the fiscal year 2012 that started in April to be about 1.5 million units,compared with 1.3 million in the year ago,Managing Executive Officer Mayank Pareek said.
Maruti,54.2 percent owned by Japan’s Suzuki Motor Corp ,posted a 0.5 rise in net profit to 6.6 billion rupees ($149.1 million) for its fiscal fourth quarter ended March 31.
