Max Bupa has announced the launch of their online super saver product Health@Companion on its website with an aim to make quality health insurance more accessible and affordable for customers.

Health@Companion, which is designed for individuals and families, leveraged technology to create savings and pass price benefits to customers.

In addition, the product offers tiered pricing based on the customers' city of residence. Customers living in non metro cities pay a lower premium, reflective of health care costs in that area and not bear the high cost of healthcare services in metros which they may rarely use.

Health@Companion has sum insured options of Rs. 2 to 5 lakh. It has a two-year policy tenure option where a customer can avail discount. Apart from regular covers, the policy also takes care of day care procedures. Medical treatments taken at home, which would otherwise have required hospitalisation can also be claimed by policyholder.

Speaking about the product Manasije Mishra CEO, Max Bupa said, "We have designed Health@Companion to deliver better value and more choices to our customers at very competitive and affordable prices. In addition, premiums are based on the area of residence, i.e., customers living in tier 2 and 3 cities pay a lower premium which is reflective of healthcare costs in that region. Customers can also add benefits like hospital cash and get further discount by choosing a two year policy term. "

Max Bupa's online service platform is also designed to assist customers in buying health insurance. It has a product recommendation tool that will help customers select and purchase a product best suited for their health needs. In addition to recommending a sum insured, it enables customers to customise the offering. The policy number and the policy details are received by the customer within minutes of completion of the buying process.
