Maya resents Sonia's 'silence' over Joshi's slur

    The BSP stepped up its campaign against Rita Bahuguna Joshi by demanding an apology from Congress president Sonia.

    Accusing Congress of having an "anti Dalit" mentality, the BSP supremo said, "Had they not be having anti Dalit mentality and not been a victim of inferiority complex towards Dalits, it would have made similar provision for women of Sarva Samaj (all sections), who face such crimes as well..."

    Referring to a book "Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna" penned by Joshi about her father, Mayawati said that in her book she had used very strong terms against Gandhi family and alleged that Sonia Gandhi ignored all this for "political opportunism" and made her the party chief for UP.

    She said that there was strong resentment among BSP workers over her comments and they wanted to hold protests across the nation but she intervened to stop them as she did not want public to suffer because of law and order problems.

    Mayawati said Thursday night's incident at Joshi's house was done to divert the attention of the people from her remarks.

    Only obcs getting benefit currently not sc/stBy: merealindian | 17-Jul-2009 Reply | Forward Obcs are having 27% percent reservation sc 6% and st 14%. Obcs are getting maximum benefit in this country. Even obcs marry upper caste girl or boy. But SC/st are socially downwards and dont have equality. Mayawati is doing right in what has been done by Upper caste people up till now. Congress is leaning towards obcs now as their percentage high and disgust sc/st as they are not its vote bank. Congress cuddles muslims for votes. Most upper caste people therre in cong and less muslims. Congress just made for power and use muslim card always. SC/st peopl should come up with their own big organisation. Even muslims are benefited but not sc/st people. sc/st people are harassed lot of places. I myself have gone through that in school

But is there any logic for Mayawati to do the same unreasonable things as way of revenge or otherwise just because others did the same to her. If a daughter-in-law was ill-treated by her mother-in-law, should the daughter-in-law do the same to her own daughter-in-law just because she faced ill-treatment. The same goes for ragging. Should I rag my junior just because my seniors ragged me. Should our country give equal rights to all citizens or preferential treatment based on caste, religion, etc. Anger or revenge is not going to solve our country's problems.

If she can get away with making unholy remarks about Bapu, or collection of money for B'day bash from public servants,or declaring her ill gotten money as gift from supporters, then why can't Rita Bahuguna comment on her.If every leader or CM of state glorifies himself by making statues worth 900 cr then one can well imagine the scene.Even a despot like Chautala installed statues of Tau Devilal and not his own.It is a dangerous trend.Mayawati is Saddam Hussen in making.
