The All-India Council of Mayors, New Delhi, meanwhile, condemned the attitude of officials towards the elected representatives. In a statement, the council said the commissioner should listen to the mayor when the issue concerns the public at large. The members had threatened that in case the issue was not resolved, they would ask the government to initiate action against Sunkaria.
