MC removes encroachments, vendors back in business

  • The tehbazari team today conducted a drive to remove encroachments from the Shingaar Cinema, Chandigarh Road and a few other areas in the city. The MC officials claim that they removed rehris from these areas but they were back the moment the team left the place.

    Last week, the MC team had removed encroachments from Chaura Bazar but the condition is still the same. A few ramps were also demolished on the Hambran Road.

    Superintendent Navin Malhotra said that they did not face any protest at any of the sites but expressed ignorance that rehris were back. “Our duty finishes at 5 p m but still we work till 7p m. After work, we do not have enough strength to see to these encroachments.” ENS

    use your head and show some real workBy: raj | 17-Sep-2009 Reply | Forward How about confiscating the rehris and breaking them up and then selling them as firewood.Also arresting the rehri owners for trespassing and producing them in court for sentencing?
