Members of the medical fraternity take time out to share their New Year resolutions
They say promises are made to be broken and so are the new-year resolutions. Well, that remains an open-ended question. Unfolding yet another package of expected and unexpected happenings in the new year, several minds gear up to resolve something new, something different. And we have saviours of mankind, members of the medical fraternity coming up with their resolutions for 2009 as well.
Synonymous with selfless service, for our trusted doctors resolutions have to find an echo in their professional aims. Says Dr Purvez Grant, deputy managing trustee, Ruby Hall Clinic, "My new year resolution is to give excellent service to the society. I would also like to replace the older equipments in the hospital with the modern ones while I look forward to two more hospitals in the city." While improvement in medical facilities tops the resolution list of most of the doctors, they don't forget to speak about the affordability factor.
"I want to give my patients the best quality treatment and at an affordable price," says Dr Ankit Khanna, a cosmetologist, implantologist and periodontist who already has two clinics in the city and plans to open a third one. Echoing similar sentiments, Dr Kiran Bhise, laproscopy and endoscopy surgeon as well as director in charge of department of surgery and minimal invasive surgery, Lokmanya Hospital says, "My new year resolution is to reach out to as many people as possible and to give better medical facilities to my patients at reasonable prices".
