Meeting held to discuss Noida industrial security

  • At a meeting to discuss the issue of security for industries in Gautam Budh Nagar and the investigation into the murder of the CEO of Italian MNC Graziano Transmissioni, UP Chief Secretary Atul Gupta and Director General of Police Vikram Singh have ordered a probe into the incident. The CEO of Greater Noida Authority has also been delegated powers equivalent to the labour commissioner for the immediate resolution of labour-related problems.

    According to sources, the Deputy Labour Commissioner will now assist the CEO of Greater Noida Authority, in resolving industrial disputes in the region. The day-long meeting was attended by representatives of the industry and the administration.

    Talking to Newsline, L K Gupta, Personnel Manager, Graziano Transmissioni, said higher government officials have also promised that senior police officers will impart training to their security officials to tackle untoward situations. Meanwhile, company officials stated that Marcello Lamberto, segment CEO of the Italian multinational, has decided not to shift the plant from UP for the time being. “The plant was scheduled to be shifted to Czech Republic. However, he has decided now to give the government time to deliver on its promises,” said Gupta. He added the plant is likely to start production from Monday.
