A five-wicket haul by Mehul Bansal (5 for 12) and a half-century by Pranjay Sharma (82) guided hosts St John's School to a comprehensive 68-run win over Vivek High School as they entered the final of Edmund Rice U-17 cricket tournament played on Wednesday. The hosts batted first and posted a total of 181 for 6 in the allotted 20 overs. Pranjay Sharma was the top scorer with a blazing knock of 82 runs off 60 balls.
The lanky lad smashed ten boundaries during his stay at the crease. Sharma was ably supported by Tejas Kang who contributed 37 runs off mere 22 balls. Kartavya Sharma contributed 18 runs. For Vivek High School, Aangad and Rajan claimed two wickets each. Chasing a stiff target of 182 runs off the allotted 20 overs, Vivek High School were bundled out for a paltry total of 114 runs in 17 overs. Aangad was the top scorer for the team with 47 runs off 37 balls. Karan Khosla contributed 30 runs. For the winning team, Mehul Bansal claimed five wickets for 12 runs while Tejas took one wicket for 10 runs.

Golf camp from Dec 25
Chandigarh:Chandigarh GolfClub will organise a four-day Christmas Golf Camp between 3.00 pm to 4.00 pm from December 25 to December 28 at the club. The camp will be conducted by EGTF certified coach Ajay Gujral and the camp will focus on various golf skills including grip, aim, alignment, stance, posture, chipping and putting.
