62nd anniv of Shankar Maharaj’s Samadhi
The 62nd anniversary of the Samadhi of Satguru Yogiraj Shankar Maharaj’s Samadhi was celebrated recently with a dance performance of renowned international Kathak dancer Pandit NandKumar Kapote. In addition to this there were other functions that were carried out as a part of the celebrations. Pandit Kapote performed dances, which depicted the various themes of Shankar Maharaj’s Bhajans during the performance.

Annual festival of Matha Sithala concludes
The annual festival of Om Shri Matha Shri Sithala Devi, which had commenced with the Maha Ganpati Homam, and various Poojas and religious functions concluded with the Durga Homam and chariot procession of the idol, recently. In addition when the festival was going on Prasad was distributed amongst all the devotees.

Yoga classes to be held
National Institute of Naturopathy will be offering month long yoga classes for the general public at its campus. The classes will be conducted for one hour daily for six days in a week except on Sundays and on government holidays and will begin from may 16. There will be four batches that will be conducted which include the advanced batch, the basic batch and a therapy cum basic batch. In addition to yoga special meditation and relaxation techniques will also be taught.

Children’s camp to be organised
The Chinmaya Mission, Pune is organising a children’s camp for children of the age group of 9-14 years. The camp will begin on May 21 and will conclude on May 24 and will be held at the Abhinav Education Society’s English Medium School at Katraj. The fees for the camp are Rs 200 and the timing is from morning 9 am to 5 pm. Activities that will be undertaken include dramatics, personality development, art and craft, games, quiz, lectures on cultures festivals and Indian history.
