A militant was arrested along with a pistol in the heart of the city,while a hideout was busted in Pulwama district of south Jammu and Kashmir in two separate incidents,official sources said on Tuesday. Noor Hussain,a resident of Thathri in Doda district,was arrested by a police party from Regal chowk in the city last night,the sources said. They said Hussain was active in militancy for the last several years and was wanted in connection with a large number of militancy-related incidents,particularly in Doda. A pistol,one magazine and seven rounds were recovered from him,the sources said. In a separate operation,police and Rashtriya Rifles busted a militant hideout at Wustarwan forest in Medoora area of Tral in Pulwama district,40 km from here,and recovered an AK assault rifle,one magazine and 38 rounds of ammunition. However,no one was arrested during the operation last night,the sources added.
