Three senior politicians, including a Cabinet Minister, favoured women in exchange for sex favours, according to the J-K High Court's 211-page order on the sex abuse scam made public on Wednesday.
"We both met the minister at his residence and discussed the job. I handed over copies of my certificate to him. He assured me that he will get me a job. Sabeena went to the adjacent room and the minister had intercourse with me," a girl is learnt to have said in her statement to District and Sessions Judge Molvi Javed Ahmad. The report said the minister in question was state Transport Minister Hakeem Yaseen.
Yaseen, states the HC order, sought a similar favour from another girl who wanted him to get her husband, a militant, released from jail. "Six days after the incident, my husband was released from Kot Bhalwal jail," the girl is learnt to have said in her statement. She is also learnt to have said that she "can identify the residence as well as the room" where the minister had intercourse with her.
The order states that PDP MLA and former MoS Ghulam Hassan Khan is learnt "to have been indulging in illicit sex". In her statement recorded on May 31, 2006, Sabeena, kingpin of the racket, said: "He also wanted a girl from me. I contacted a police constable, who is a resident of Usmana Coloney and who is presently working in security. I took her along with me to the Circuit House near Radio Kashmir where Ghulam Hassan Khan was staying. It was evening. He took the both of us to a room in the Circuit House. I was made to sit in the bathroom while he had intercourse with the constable in the room. He paid her Rs 1,000 and gave me Rs 200."
