The Pune police have found the body of a man who was missing along with a female colleague since October 30. The two worked at a five-star hotel on Bund Garden Road in Koregaon Park.
Subhan Mastana Reddy (21),resident of Kalas,Vishrantwadi,worked in the laundry department of the hotel. The native of Chennai reported for duty on October 29,but did not return home after that. His colleague Sandhya Jairam Wankhede (20),a resident of Khadki,also went missing the same day. Her family had registered a missing persons complaint at the Khadki police station on November 4.
On November 2,the Khadki police found Subhans body on the river side near Patil Estate slums in Shivajinagar. Police said Sandhyas cellphone was also found there. However,so far there is no clue about Sandhya.
Subhans body was handed over to his family on Wednesday after the post-mortem was conducted. He is survived by his mother and brother.
Police said that their phone call details are being analysed. It is also being probed how Subhan died and whether he and Sandhya were together after they went missing.
