MJ’s final resting place

MJ's family is yet to reach an agreement over his final resting place.

Michael Jackson’s family is yet to reach an agreement over the King of Pop’s final resting place.

The singer’s mother Katherine,79,was said to have been against making the Neverland ranch his burial site since authorities alleged it was there that Jackson molested children.

And though Jackson was later acquitted of all charges,Katherine believes it would not make a proper place for the singer to be laid to rest, according to a source close to the family.

“She thinks it’s a place of horrible memories. She says Michael wouldn’t want to be there,” People magazine quoted a source as saying.

It was further said that the star’s parents and siblings might have come closer to a decision after Katherine reportedly took a step back while setting up conditions.

The source added: “Katherine is still opposed to Michael being buried at Neverland, but would relent if it could be arranged for Michael’s children to gain ownership of the property. If they could have complete ownership,Katherine would approve.”

The other location that may be considered is Forest Lawn, where a private memorial was held for the Thriller hitmaker in Los Angeles on July 7.
