Modi meets officials of Russian oil major

  • Chief Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday met officials of the Russian oil and gas major Gazprom, said the press release issued by the government.

    It further added that officials of the Gazprom have shown keen interest in forging partnership with the Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation in various projects.

    The company officials have also accepted the government invitation to visit Gujarat and offer their cooperation to Dindayal Petroleum University as far as energy management subject is concerned.

    Modi is in Russia to attend a conference in Moscow on the global energy issues. Modi at the meet has also lauded the achievements and the capabilities of the Gujarat companies in the area of oil and gas exploration.

    Besides, Modi also held discussion with the representatives of Itera, an oil and gas company over there. The Indian delegation also met the president of the Russian firm STG AN Ryanzanov.
