A day after his budhiya (old woman) taunt aimed at the 125-year-old Congress party evoked a sharp response from Priyanka Gandhi,Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said he would now call the party gudiya (doll) Congress instead of a budhiya. Priyanka this time refused to enter another bout, dismissing the comment as plain ridiculous. If my friends did not like my comments about the age of the Congress or my calling it a budhiya Congress, then I will not call it an old party. But will this make the Congress younger, Modi told an election rally at Shravasti in Bahraich district. From today,I will call the Congress a gudiya Congress (doll Congress), he added. Speaking on the reaction from Priyanka, who on Saturday asked Modi,Does Sonia Gandhi (Congress president and her mother),Rahul Gandhi or I look old to you,he said: I have told the age of the Congress, but the Congressmen have started telling their age. Priyanka,on her part, dismissed Modis latest comments as something not worth talking. I think it is ridiculous. I dont see why we are discussing budhiya and gudiya when we should be discussing development. We should be discussing the economy. We should discuss things that matter, Priyanka said in Amethi, responding to the latest swipe by Modi at the Congress. In Margao, however, the Congress opened another round of taunts when AICC general secretary B Hariprasad said the BJP should first look at itself before calling the Congress an old party. The man who made the statement on the old age of the Congress party must implement his statement on his own political party. First he should dump Atal Bihari Vajpayee and the oldest man who is in a hurry to become Prime Minister L K Advani in the Arabian Sea, Hariprasad said.
