Modi writes to PM for recall of Karnataka Guv

CM Narendra Modi has joined other BJP leaders in demanding recall of Karnataka Governor H R Bhardwaj for allegedly destabilising the B S Yeddyurappa government

Chief Minister Narendra Modi has joined other BJP leaders in demanding recall of Karnataka Governor H R Bhardwaj for allegedly destabilising the B S Yeddyurappa government.

On Thursday,Modi sent a letter to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh demanding recall of Bhardwaj. “The popularity of the Karnataka government has not been in doubt and the BJP,under the leadership of B S Yeddyurappa, has swept through most by-elections,municipal elections and panchayat polls. More recently, the BJP won all three seats in by-elections to the Karnataka Vidhan Sabha, the results of which were declared on May 13,” he wrote.

Alleging that Bhardwaj had violated the constitutional provisions,Modi sought that the PM should urge the President to urgently recall the services of Bhardwaj as Governor of Karnataka,”in true spirit of our Constitution and our federal framework”.
