Mohanlal,Jayaram and Dileep, who were last seen together in Twenty-20,the film that starred all the prominent Malayalam stars, are all set to come together once again with China Town,to be directed by the Rafi-Mecartin duo
China Town, the film, takes us to China Town in Goa,where people reach from all over to try out their luck. Its here that three guys from different parts of Kerala reach; but coincidentally all of them are here with the same purpose. This is what makes up for the plot of China Town,in which Mohanlal,Jayaram and Dileep play the three guys who reach China Town in Goa.
Rafi and Mecartin are in charge of the script too for China Town, which will have action laced with sufficient dose of humour and of course all those ingredients, like songs, dances, romance et al that you look forward for in a Rafi-Mecartin film.
The film, according to the makers, was earlier planned for Mohanlal. But as the plot was built up,it required two more actors to do the lead roles. Dileep and Jayaram suited the roles. They were approached. After hearing out the story, both Dileep and Jayaram have given their nod and the film is now on to the casting stage.
There would be three heroines in the film, all of whom are yet to be decided. Ace cinematographer Azhagappan would crank the camera for the film.
China Town will be produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Ashirwad Cinemas and will start rolling most likely by the end of November this year. Goa and Pondicherry are the prime locations for the film, which is likely to hit screens next March, obviously aiming to cash in on the summer vacation mood.
