Malayalam superstar Mohanlal is set to enact the role of former ISRO scientist Nambi Narayanan in a film by actor-director Anant Mahadevan.
Narayanan was charged with leaking defence secrets in 1994 but was subsequently exonerated from the charges. Earlier this month, the Kerala High Court asked the state government to pay him Rs 10 lakh as interim relief.
Mahadevan said discussions with Narayanan have been on for the last six months.
"The movie, to be produced in Hindi and Malayalam, will have Mohanlal in the lead. The rest of the cast will be from the Hindi film industry,'' he said.
