Monika murder: In-laws produced in lower court

The in-laws of 32-year-old computer teacher Monika Goyal, who had been arrested for allegedly murdering her, were produced in a lower court on Thursday. They were handed a copy of the chargesheet, which was submitted by the UT police to the lower court, last week. The court has adjourned the case till January 23 for considering any clarifications or changes that the accused demand. Monika's in-laws, including her brother-in-law and her husband were arrested by the UT police. Monika died under mysterious circumstances on October 15 at her Sector-21 residence. Parents of the deceased told the police that she had not committed suicide, but was murdered by her in-laws. Initially, her in-laws were arrested on charges of abetment to suicide. However, after the reports from the Central Forensic Sciences Laboratory was received, charges of murder were added.
