Monks Mean Business

It’s that time of summer again,when workshops spring up across town like mushrooms gone viral. While most of them pack in creative and fun activities targeted at kids,the latest is a ‘Summer Workshop on Modern Careers’ by a group of four busybodies,who call themselves ‘Creative Monks’. “There are four creative monks,who are professionals in the field of dance,interior design,radio jockeying,graphic design and photography. The purpose of coming together as a team was to introduce young enthusiasts to the real world of modern and upcoming options in an innovative and fun oriented manner for overall learning and personality development,” explains Creative Monks member Jasmeet K Shan,who is a state dance sport champion in Latin dancing and has been teaching dance for the last eight years. The workshop features hands-on activities that are geared for youngsters between the age group of 13-24 years. Steering the interior design capsule will be Gurjot Shan,a professional designer,who has put together various commercial and residential interior spaces in and around the city. Well-known voice Rohit Sachdeva will take classes in radio jockeying while Vikas Wahi and Sukhdeep S Pannu will conduct the graphic design and photography modules.
