The event was organised in Moraribapu’s hometown of Mahuva in Bhavnagar, under the banner of ‘Yade Husain committee’.

The Iftar was organised at the J P Parikh High School Premises and some 5,000 people, including dignitaries from all walks of life and a big group of visiting Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) was witness to it. The NRIs were on a visit to Moraribapu’s ashram in Mahuva city.

Moraribapu stressed on the need to follow the message of Koran in one’s own life. Maulana Saiyed Murtuza Husain explained to the gathering the ideals behind keeping Roza during the holy month.

“Roza doesn’t mean keeping oneself only hungry and thirsty. It also foments compassion for the poor and hungry and makes the fasting devout, polite and sensitive towards human feelings,” he said.
