All India Congress Committee (AICC) General Secretary and in-charge, party affairs, Haryana, Moti Lal Vora today said he would look into the demand of the formation of a separate Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC), since the Congress had made the promise in its election manifesto.

The state government has not been able to fulfill the promise, in spite of being in power for the last four years. He added that they were waiting for a report of the committee formed under Agriculture Minister H S Chatha, while addressing a media conference here today; along with member of the party’s election manifesto implementation committee, the Minister of State in Prime Minister’s Office, Prithvi Raj Chauhan.

Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda also assured that “suitable action” would be taken after the government receives the report.

Vora, meanwhile, credited CM Hooda of having “successfully” implemented the promises made by the Congress in its pre-poll manifesto.

“I have felt that the state government under the leadership of Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda has executed all the promises made by the party,” he said. Vora was on a whirlwind tour of the state during the day.

During the conference, Haryana CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda also gave details regarding the accomplishment of election promises in respect of various sectors including agriculture, industry, education, employment and infrastructure.

Applauding the role of the state government for implementing the election promises, Prithvi Raj Chauhan said, “Haryana has become an ideal state due to the efforts made in each sector.”
