Cast: Mithun Chakraborty, Rati Agnihotri, Kanwaljeet, Anoop Soni

    Director: Ujjwal Singh

A young lad, coerced into studying a subject he hates only because he is petrified of his father, ends his life. His classmates, all of whom face the same problem, take the fight to court.

‘Chal Chalein’ gives us youngsters, who sue the parents and the state, and come out trumps, thanks to sympathetic lawyer (Mithun) .Good idea, amateurishly executed. There’s not one sympathetic mom or dad (they are all monsters, with one mother sending a little girl hungry to bed after cruelly punishing her). The teachers are uniformly incapable of helping the unhappy children.

When they are not filing in and out of the lawyer’s chambers, the kids sing and dance. The one good thing about the film is its music: foot-tapping numbers intersperse the uninspiring action.

wonderful movieBy: Ashwini | 18-Aug-2009 Reply | Forward This movie is certainly well-directed and basically carries a lot of meaning. I was a home tutor for 5 years, and have seen closely how a few parents' overpower their children into studies. I loved the movie for several reasons - for the message it carries, for the children's act, and definitely for the director's effort to direct this topic.Kudos!! It is definitely a relief from run of the mill stories dealing with endless love triangles!!
Right movie at almost Right timeBy: Twinklekumar Patel | 17-Aug-2009 Reply | Forward I really really like this movie and the concept is very real and very sensitive also. Dialogues are accurate and arguments also have punch.I think schools should promoted to watch this movie like a picnic day with parents and their kids.Really well executed but only thing is not being promoted through media.Create a Great nation!!Twinklekumar
See the movie again my friend to review.....By: Shakil Ahmed | 08-Aug-2009 Reply | Forward just seen the movie and tried to search how many people know about this low budget movie, which is excellently executed might be by an amatuer....the message movie is giving is real issues not like other bollywood fake scripts. just loved the dialouges and lyrics written by piyush mishra.it is quite balanced from both the sides of parents and kids.liked the way decision given by judge in the end, specially the story of squirrel with Lord Ram. the argument in the court between the lawyers were nice mostly from Mithun side. Also loved the way they showed the city Allahabad, telling the history of one of this indian great city through song not like other bollywood directors who go to lot of foreign countries to shoot one song. we have so many beautiful historical cities in india and we idiots dont know about them. might be bollywood directors should think now again like we did in our golden age of cinema. I hope i have not offended anybody.God bless Human.
