Movie review: Shadow

Shadow is a film with such an improbable plot that you give up all expectations of logic, and wait helplessly for it to pass.

Cast: Nasser Khan,Milind Soman,Sonali Kulkarni,Hrishita Bhatt

Director: Rohit Nayyer

Rating:*

A blind man who ‘sees’ in reel life. That’s the tagline to draw you into ‘Shadow’,a film with such an improbable plot that you give up all expectations of logic, and wait helplessly for it to pass.

Invisible assassin Arvind Sherawat (Nasser Khan) targets a string of rich,heavily-guarded men,and succeeds in bumping off each one. Cops are upset. Politicians are enraged. Policewoman Sanjana (Sonali) swears to put an end to the killer, but has to face the taunts of Reporter Rahul (Milind). She sniffs out Wonder Mechanic Raju (also Nasser) who repairs cars, and uses his garage for other nefarious purposes. Hrishita Bhatt, another alleged journalist, dances in discotheques. So does the female cop.

Scary sight of the movie: Sonali, who’s the direct opposite of size zero, getting gamely into very few clothes, and cavorting on stage. Much more frightening than the earnest if misguided efforts of producer and debutant hero-in-a-double-role,the visually challenged Nasser,to entertain us while bumping off the bad guys.
