MP Cong asks partymen to strive for good admin in 2013

With Madhya Pradesh due for Assembly polls in 2013, senior Congress leader Ajay Singh on Monday appealed partymen to pledge for working towards good administration in the state.

In a message to the party workers, Ajay said the coming year was full of challenges as the state was reeling under corruption, atrocities against women and people were being denied even the basic facilities.

"It is the responsibility of every Congress worker to come out and fight for the rights of the people," he said.

Ajay said women were not only unsafe on roads but their safety cannot be guaranteed even inside their homes.

He also said there was "false propaganda" in the state regarding how much Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan cared about the well-being of women.

"Instead of carrying out this propaganda, Chouhan would do well to ensure the safety and well-being of women on roads in the state," Ajay, the Leader of Opposition in Madhya Pradesh Assembly, said.

He said it was a matter of grave concern that tribal and dalit girls of the state were allegedly being pushed into flesh trade by human traffickers.
