“The forms carry the instructions so that the students do not fail to carry domicile proof with them. I realized the importance of this process after police officials asked us to provide them with addresses of eight students who had passed out from the faculty nearly seven years ago,” Vyas said.
When asked what the police were investigating then, he said, “I did not ask them about that but the investigations were certainly being carried out by the Delhi-CID.”
Elsewhere, Dean Faculty of Fine Arts, Prof Deepak Kannal said, “We have not receive any official communication in this regard.”
The other faculties were also not aware of this requirement when their forms were sent for printing. They will be taking up this task from the next academic session onwards.
However, Prof A R Hingorani, Dean, Faculty of Commerce said he we will take up the process during the enrollments.
