MSU proposes to offer courses in biosciences

The Maharaja Sayajirao University (MSU) has proposed to introduce degree courses in biosciences and environment and to set up a centre for the study of Indian philosophical heritage.

The Maharaja Sayajirao University (MSU) has proposed to introduce degree courses in biosciences and environment and to set up a centre for the study of Indian philosophical heritage. MSU Vice Chancellor Ramesh Goyal said the proposal about introducing the new courses was made after the state government asked the university to start new projects.

He said the university has proposed to offer MSc and PhD degrees in environment sciences,and master’s degree in biostatistics.

“The university has also proposed to begin an integrated five-year course in cellular and molecular biology and a bachelor’s degree in microbiology and biochemistry,” he said.

The other projects,recently proposed by MS University,include a virtual certificate course in modern instrumental method and chemical analysis besides the setting up of a centre for Study of contemporary relevance of Indian philosophical heritage.
