After playing a Jat in Yamla Pagla Deewana,Mukul Dev will be seen as a rural Kutchi in his next film titled Jal. Directed by actor-turned-director Girish Malik,the movie is about how people in Kutch go to great lengths to save water. Mukul has a negative role and plays a tribal who fights with the villagers as he does not want them to preserve water. The entire film was shot in the Rann of Kutch and surrounding areas of Bhuj in Gujarat. Riding a camel was a challenge. For this,I had to practise for almost a week and make friends with the camel before I could master the art. I will be sporting a short shirt,dhoti,ethnic ornaments,a beard and turban, said Mukul,who is seen riding a camel through the white desert in the adjoining photo. The film also stars Purab Kohli and a new girl Kirti. It is 90 per cent complete and is scheduled to release soon.
