Mulayam’s son’s car stoned

The car of Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav’s son Akhilesh Yadav was damaged when an unidentified person threw a stone at it in the busy Hazratganj area.

The car of Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav’s son Akhilesh Yadav was damaged when an unidentified person threw a stone at it in the busy Hazratganj area here today.

According to the driver of Yadav’s Pajero,an unidentified person threw a stone and damaged the windscreen of the vehicle bearing the SP flag at the Hazratganj crossing when he was going to drop Yadav’s children to a playhouse but none was hurt. Yadav was not in the car at that time.

ADG Brij Lal said a case in this connection has been filed under section 336 (an act endangering life or personal safety of others) and 427 (mischief) of IPC at Hazratganj Kotwali and investigations were on.

The person who damaged the vehicle fled soon after,the ADG added.

Meanwhile,SP spokesman Rajendra Chaudhary said in a statement that ever since the party has launched an agitation against the “wrong” policies of both the central and state governments as well as mafia elements,the security of Akhilesh Yadav,President of state party unit,and his family “is under threat”.

Demanding immediate arrest of the culprit in today’s incident,Chaudhary lamented “emerging intolerance in politics.” Party workers also staged a protest at the Kotwali to press for the arrest of the culprit,Chaudhary added.
