Ever thought of buying the country’s financial capital, setting up houses and hotels and charging rent from anyone who visited your city? Come August, it could be reality, with the board game Monopoly nominating Mumbai for a worldwide online vote to have it placed on the list of cities on the game board.

Monopoly has launched a new edition titled Monopoly here and now: The World Edition Board Game and has 68 cities, including Mumbai, nominated to find places on the game board. Other Asian cities include Beijing, Tokyo and Singapore. The price of Mumbai is yet to be decided. There are 20 slots available, to be selected on the basis of an online vote which began on January 23 and will continue till February 28.
