Accompanied by Vijay Ghate on the tabla, he then proceeded with his composition and the audience listened silently, resisting any urge to clap. After he completed his piece, he asked the audience not to restrain their appreciation and affection for Ghate and that they could clap, and a thunderous applause followed.
