Muslims leaders denounce moves to legalise homosexuality

    Leading Islamic seminary Darul Uloom Deoband too opposed the Centre's move to repeal a controversial section, saying unnatural sex is against the tenets of Islam.

    "Homosexuality is offence under Shariat Law and haram (prohibited) in Islam," Deputy Vice Chancellor of the Darul Uloom Deoband Maulana Abdul Khalik Madrasi said.

    The reaction came after reports that Centre was likely to convene a meeting soon to evolve a consensus on repealing a controversial section of the Indian Penal Code which criminalises homosexuality.

Manilal | 03-Jul-2009 Reply | Forward ‘Homo sex’ is not to be inspired at any cost.Surely, if some body is thinking this is to legalize, Yes there should have some hidden agenda or selfishness.Still we do not have the preventive medicine of ‘HIV’ and this is mainly generating thru ‘HOMOSEX’.This is 21st century. Let us think positively and valuably.Also this is against of the INDIAN VEDIC Culture.

Rather legalizing homosexual act will bring more stability to the society as it will provide an opportunity for same sex marriage and discourage random hook ups......!!!!
    legalising sodomy --is the limit of everything By: swmpnn | 02-Jul-2009 Reply | Forward Incest,sodomy,buggery,rape,prostitution and similar deviant perersions are just what the law is supposed to prevent . legalising them is not only iconsistent it is also self destructive.it is true that homosexual tendencies as genetic science understands them -are genetic disorder victim and victimizer both are not entirely responsible for their transgression. But what needs to be ascertained is their moral impact in social and ethnic parlance. .consentient homosexual affairs between adults is more alrmingly prurient .The criteria as some christian monk put is -culminating into procreation and not just physical enjoyment.opposition from the islamic clergy is need of the hour. heads from other religious communities should also question such irreligious and immoral vindication as legalising perversions . sodomy in any form must be curbed ,disparaged,prevented and punished there shoul be no compromise on that.

State is only trying not to feed the offenders at its cost. If religious bodies find such acts are practiced within it, against its preaching, well they must do some internal searching instead of making the state and its youth suffer in the goals.
