Ending the two-month silence on the murder of Muthoot executive director Paul M George, his family on Friday moved a petition in the Kerala High Court seeking a CBI probe. The demand has come at a time when the Kerala Police investigation into the murder is nearing completion. The businessman’s father and company chairman M G George alleged in the petition that the police investigation was influenced by politicians, who tried to cover up the involvement of the real culprits. The probe had moved in a pre-planned manner, he said.
