Chief Minister Narendra Modi's personal publicity team and Gujarat BJP's IT team are working on a series of online games to be launched soon on their website — www.namoleague.com — to attract young voters.
To begin with, there will be a car racing game, said to be designed with Modi and rest of the people in the election fray as icons.
Sources close to the development said Modi would be in focus in the racing game software and all other such applications to be launched. Besides the thrill of the game, players will also end up knowing about the CM as they go to higher levels in the game.
The feature is being prepared by young tech savvy BJP leader Maulik Bhagat, who is son of Modi's close aide Parindu Bhagat. He was also the brain behind the lilting Modi hosanna 'Vanthambhyu Gujarat' (Unstoppable Gujarat) .
"We are likely to launch the gaming feature on the www.namoleague.com shortly to attract youngsters. We will be able to share more details once the work is done," Maulik told The Indian Express.
The website, which announced the game in a link with a visual of a Formula 1 car on Tuesday, had taken it off on Wednesday. Incidentally, the website has already set the tone for a Modi vs Manmohan Singh battle, with discussion forums launched on this comparison.
