He said that during the past 32 years of Left Front rule, the Opposition was safe in Bengal, but after they emerged victorious in the Lok Sabha elections, the same Opposition is engaging in violence against Front leaders and supporters.
“But we will not bow down to the attacks and appeal to all peace-loving people of Bengal to protest against it,” Bose added.
Bose admitted that it would be difficult for his party to politically counter the violence as party leaders and supporters are on the run in Lalgarh.
A delegation of Front leaders will submit a deputation to Governor Gopalkrishna Gandhi on post-poll violence in the state. Recently, Trinamool chief Mamata Banerjee had raised the issue during a meeting with the Governor.
