The police finally caught up with Narendra Modi and picked up the notorious gambler,who had dodged them for a while now,from his den in Tarsadi village of Mangrol taluka on Saturday. A cellphone and Rs 3,100 in cash were recovered from him,police said,adding they caught him in the act even as he was talking business on his cellphone,sitting outside the village grocery store that he runs. For Kosamba police,which has the jurisdiction over the village,50-year-old Modi is a familiar name. This is the second time they have arrested the man,who runs matka activities. Kosamba police sub-inspector B G Vasawa said Modi was arrested and booked today for gambling but was given bail by court later in the day.
