But the stark reality is that there is no will, both among the politicians and the beaurocrats to defend the country from the wreckless barbarians.A very large number of policemen are protecting the socalled VIPs leaving the commonman to his fate. We are in a delusion that we elect our representatives. Actually they become our bosses the moment they got elected. They, then have little regard for the man on the street. Had it not been the election year not even this facelift done. How serious they are was well illustrated by one Mr. Borkar, who with a revolver in his pocket moved freely on the CST and passed thru the metal dector a number of times without the policemen even raising the brow.Can we hope of something better under the present dispensation?I am afraid not.

In case the four leaders namely the chief ministers of Maharastra, Kerala and BJP leader and the Deputy CM of Maharastra who hurt the sentiments of the people of India are given tickets in the next election the people all over India should not vote for the political party to which they belong to. That way we can teach a lesson to these politicians. 50% of the commandos are engaged in providing safety cover to these politicians. They should learn from the freedom movement that Mahatma Gandhi never asked for security because he was doing selfless service. But today every politician right from village level to national level want security as they are going to that position to meet their selfish ends.
