National Assembly entry passes for scribes cancelled

  • National Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Amir Hussain has cancelled entry passes for journalists covering the ongoing National A ssembly session. According to the Assembly Secretariat, entry passes for the 41st session have been cancelled and new ones will be issued later and banned entry of journalist in the assembly building. This has created uncertainty among the journalists regarding coverage of Thursday’s session. Daily Times has learnt that the government is contemplating restricting parliamentary coverage and asked each newspaper to send only two journalists to cover each NA session.
