The National Commission of Scheduled Castes (NCSC),Chandigarh,on Friday took cognisance of the Newsline story 25 km from city,Dalits have nowhere to go. It sought a factual report on Dalit repression from Superintendent of Police (SP) Maneesh Chaudhry and Panchkula Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ashima Brar. The DC also issued a press statement saying that she has constituted a committee, to resolve the prevailing tension between different groups of village Batour,falling under Barwala Block in district Panchkula.
