New Responsibility
Ahead of the organisational reshuffle, there is a strong buzz in the Congress about AICC general secretary Digvijaya Singh being given a new charge. Congress sources say that Singh may be divested of his charge of Uttar Pradesh and given a new assignment. But since it is a question of less than a month — Ibrahim will take over as DIB from January 1 — an easier option is to politely indicate to these officers that a better arrangement could be for them to go on leave till their retirement. The question now is that who would convey this message to them.
