New York subway-push victim, Sunando Sen remembered as ‘Indian Gregory Peck’ at his service

The Indian man shoved off to death in front of a train in New York by a Muslim-hating madwoman was remembered as an 'Indian Gregory Peck', by friends who mourned him during his funeral.

LOrcan Otway, 57, a lawyer who worked with the latest subway shove victim on aiding oppressed Hindus in Bangladesh, said that Sunando Sen, whose disfigured remains lay swaddled in cloth and adorned with flowers in a blue-grey-colored coffin, had quiet strength.

According to the New York Daily News, Sen's mutilated remains were covered by a simple white cloth and a pile of roses inside a light blue coffin before his cremation.

Mourners said the Indian immigrant had been working on a Ph.D. in economics at New York University, but recently opened a print shop because money got tight.

Alamgir Bhuiya, who worked with Sen at a different copy shop, said they all lived like one family.

He added that it was really painful for him to loose such a good friend, the report said.

The outpouring of grief came as more details emerged about Sen's alleged murderer, Erika Menendez, the report added.
