The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday filed a chargesheet in a Kochi court in the case pertaining to the recruitment of Kerala youths for terrorism. The chargesheet,which has 24 persons named in the list of the accused,including Pakistani national Wali alias Abdul Azeez,said that terror training and indoctrination classes were held in Kerala under the guise of religious schools. The conspiracy for recruiting Kerala youths for terrorism was hatched in Pakistan,Oman,UAE and Bangladesh. Huge amount had been channelled to the accused to recruit youths,who were supposed to carry out blasts and other anti-national activities across the country. The CBI has asked the Interpol to issue a red corner alert against Wali and Muhammed Sabir,a native of Kannur,the 20th accused in the list. Sabir had sneaked out of the country after the killing of four Kerala youths in Kupwara in October 2008. The NIA also mentioned the role of a woman from Jammu,Parveen,in the terror recruitment. She had reportedly taken the youths to PoK for training. Wali had reportedly come to Kerala several times to recruit youths. He had been closely associated with suspected LeT militant Tadiyantavide Nazir,an accused in all terror cases in Kerala and in 2008 Bangalore blasts. Nazir and another suspected militant,Sarfras Nawas,are also in the list of the accused. This was the first terror case registered in Kerala after the killing of four youths in an encounter in Kashmir.
