NIA: who said near?

  • With the Government deciding to notify the National Investigating Agency (NIA), interviews have started of serving IPS officials with investigative experience for the job of heading this high-profile agency. While there is a palpable reluctance among police officials to take up the job, four officers were shortlisted and called for interviews last week. However, it’s learnt that only three of them turned up, with one pulling out, and the final decision is still pending.
