Niranjan Hiranandani gets interim bail

A special court on Wednesday granted interim anticipatory bail to Niranjan Hiranandani,against whom the CBI had issued a look-out notice in connection with an alleged PF scam.

A special court on Wednesday granted interim anticipatory bail to Niranjan Hiranandani,against whom the CBI had issued a look-out notice in connection with an alleged PF scam. The CBI had on Tuesday issued look-out notices to all airports in the country against Niranjan and brother Surendra,another director of the group. Special CBI Judge SP Hayatnagarkar granted Niranjan interim bail on a bond of Rs 1 lakh till August 13,when the CBI has been directed to file its reply. The court directed Niranjan not to leave the country and attend the CBI office as and when called for questioning. Darshan Hiranandani,son of Niranjan,said,“Immediately after he was informed about the development,he flew back to Mumbai. He had been abroad on a business meeting.”
