Nishank seeks CAG’s intervention on pension issue

Uttarakhand CM Ramesh Pokhariyal Nishank asked the Comptroller and Auditor General of India to effectively intervene in the pension issue between Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Ramesh Pokhariyal Nishank today asked the Comptroller and Auditor General of India to effectively intervene in the pension issue between Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

As the new state of Uttarakhand came into being in 2000,Uttar Pradesh had to pay Rs 6,696 crore till 2014-15,but that state has failed to provide any amount so far,Nishank told Vinod Rai,Comptroller and Auditor General of India,an official release here said.

Nishank hoped that Rai would effectively intervene in the matter between the two states.

Rai was on a visit here for laying foundation stone for office and residence buildings of Auditor General of Uttarakhand.
